At the same time, multi-component co-injection molding has been developed, and the number of injection units has been increased from one to two, which helps to reduce or even eliminate the amount of assembly operations after injection, and is capable of processing soft composite parts. The flow and measurement of the melt from the injection unit is carried out by a new type of collecting tube, which provides high flexibility for multi-cavity injection. For example, one cavity is co-injected while the other cavity is being injected into the topsheet or corestock. The manifold allows the injection unit to clean itself, quickly and easily replace raw materials and colors.
